Official : Promising Nigerian Defender Inks New Contract With Huddersfield Town
Premier League side Huddersfield Town inform through their official website that nine promising youngsters have inked scholarship deals with the clubs ahead of the 2019-2020 campaign.

Joshua Okpolokpo has signed a new contract which will be activated on July 1, 2019.

Born March 31, 2003 in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Okpolokpo was among the eight players introduced to the Club at Monday’s induction evening, with the ninth away on international duty with Wales U16 team.

A central defender by trade, his previous clubs include Dublin-based Cherry Orchard FC and Ipswich Town.

Next season, Okpolokpo will represent the Young Terriers in EFL Youth Alliance fixtures against U18 sides as well as matches and tournaments arranged by the club.

He was an unused substitute as Huddersfield Town U17s beat Manchester United 2-1 in a friendly on November 28, 2018.
