Official : Super Eagles Striker Inks New Contract With Crotone
Published: May 14, 2019Through a statement on their official website, Crotone have announced that Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo has signed a contract extension with the club.
The Nigeria international was set to walk away from Crotone as a free agent next month but the new three-year deal he inked on Monday will keep him at The Red and Blues until June 30, 2022.
Crotone President, Gianni Vrenna told the club's official website : ''Simy is an exemplary professional, an excellent guy both on and off the field.
''He joined the Rossoblu family three years ago and won everyone with his generosity and his goals. We are very satisfied with the agreement reached ".
Commenting on the new deal, Simy added : ''I am very happy to be able to continue my story with this shirt. In Crotone I grew up both as a man and as a footballer and I also became a dad. I thank the club for the trust it has always placed in me''.
Simy has impressed since joining Crotone from Gil Vicente in 2016, making 82 appearances for the Italian second-tier side and scoring 25 goals.
