Official : Liverpool Offer New Contract To Nigerian-Born Winger
European champions Liverpool have submitted their retained list to the Premier League ahead of the start of pre-season training for the 2019-2020 season.

The Reds have confirmed that Ibadan-born winger Bobby Adekanye has been offered a new contract.

Though the duration of the contract was not revealed by the Anfield club, allnigeriasoccer.com understands that he would commit his future to Liverpool until June 30, 2022 if terms are accepted.

That said, Adekanye has agreed to join Italian Serie A club Lazio for four seasons and an official announcement is imminent.

The 20-year-old, who is a Netherlands youth international, joined Liverpool in July 2015 following spells with the youth teams of Barcelona, Ajax Amsterdam and PSV Eindhoven.

Nigeria U23 international Taiwo Awoniyi, ex-Golden Eaglets invitee Ovie Ejaria and England U20 World Cup-winning winger Sheyi Ojo remain on the books of Liverpool for the time being.
