Reading Move For Former Nigeria U17 Invitee Gathers Pace
Published: July 22, 2019
Championship outfit Reading are closing in on the signing of former Nigeria U17 invitee Ovie Ejaria, according to reports.
Reading Chronicle's Courtney Friday has tweeted that Reading's transfer embargo has been lifted, paving the way for the Royals to make new signings including Liverpool starlet Ejaria.
The U20 World Cup-winning midfielder has not been named in Liverpool's pre-season squad for their tour of United States, which suggests that he is not in the plans of manager Jurgen Klopp for the first half of the 2019-2020 season.
Ejaria spent the second half of last season on loan at Reading, scoring one goal in 16 starts in the Championship.
The former Arsenal youth-teamer has also enjoyed loan spells at Sunderland and Rangers in Scotland.
He trained with the Golden Eaglets before their trip to the United Arab Emirates for the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup.
