Leicester Boss Confirms : Ndidi Picked Up Hamstring Injury Vs Chelsea, To Miss At Least Two Games
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed an exclusive report by allnigeriasoccer.com that Wilfred Ndidi picked up a hamstring injury during his side's 1-1 draw with Chelsea last weekend.

Rodgers also revealed after The Foxes 2-1 win at Sheffield United in which the Nigeria international did not play a part that the midfielder will not be available for the League Cup match against Newcastle United because he is expected to resume training mid-week.

''He tweaked his hamstring just slightly against Chelsea, and he just felt it,'' Rodgers told reporters after Saturday's afternoon's game at Bramall Lane.

''He had a scan on it and it's just a minor strain, but hopefully he will rejoin the team training in mid-week and then be ready for next Saturday.''

Prior to today's match against the Blades, the Super Eagles star had not missed a Premier League game since May 2018.

While Ndidi is racing against the clock to be fit to face Bournemouth on Saturday, August 31, it is confirmed that he will be ready after the international break assuming he doesn't suffer a setback.
