Super Eagles Defender Idowu Fails To Show Off To Manchester United Scout
Published: September 02, 2019Brian Idowu missed an opportunity to display his wares to a representative of Manchester United on Saturday, August 31.
According to Russian newspaper Izvestia, Manchester United scout Krsto Kilibarda attended the Russian Premier League match between Lokomotiv Moscow and Rostov.
It is not known exactly who the representative of the English club came to watch at the RZD Arena.
Idowu was included in Lokomotiv Moscow's matchday 23 but watched proceedings from the bench as his team suffered a 2-1 loss.
Shomurodov netted a brace for the visitors and Anton Miranchuk halved the deficit nine minutes from time.
Idowu was an unused substitute in the first four matches of the 2019-20 season and has been handed a run-out in three of the last four games.
Having spent nine months in the international wilderness, he was handed a recall to the Super Eagles for next week's friendly against Ukraine in Dnipro.
