Brighton & Hove's Nigeria International Striker Scores Against Charlton Athletic
Super Falcons striker Ini Umotong was among the scorers as Brighton & Hove claimed a 3-0 victory over Charlton Athletic in their opening Continental League Cup match on Sunday, September 22.

On 44 minutes, the Nigeria national-teamer nodded in a corner delivered by Natkiel to open the scoring for the Seagulls.

She had missed an opportunity to break the deadlock in the 15th minute when goalkeeper Salgado brilliantly tipped her header over the bar after she was left unmarked in the area.

Green successfully converted a spot kick in the 67th minute to double the advantage and got her second goal of the game from the spot two minutes from time.

Umotong was involved for Brighton in their first two games of the new Women's Super League season without finding the net.

Hope Powell's side return to action on Sunday when they face champions Arsenal in the league.
