At least two Premier League clubs sent their scouts to watch the 161st Eternal Derby between Partizan and Red Star Belgrade on Sunday evening.
According to Hot Sport Serbia, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur representatives were present at the Partizan Stadion.
Obviously Manchester United came to observe the
outstanding talents on both teams while Spurs had a chance to spy on the
Red Star players before their meeting with the Serbian champions in the
Champions League on October 22.
Former Nigeria U23 international Umar Sadiq started for Partizan Belgrade and was in action for 64 minutes before making way for Seydouba Soumah in a tactical substitution by manager Savo Milosevic.
The other teams that watched the Roma loanee include Borussia Dortmund, Werder Bremen, Juventus, Torino, Atalanta and Lazio.
Sadiq is enjoying a new lease of life with Partizan after an acrimonious departure from Glasgow Rangers in December 2018.
In his last three outings in the Super Liga, the 22-year-old has registered his name on the scoresheet twice and provided an assist.
