Nigeria-eligible midfielder Faustino Anjorin has named Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Andreas Christensen as the players he looked up to before making his first-team debut for Chelsea.
The Denmark central defender and England midfielder were products of the Chelsea Academy before breaking into the first team, and Anjorin is hoping to follow in their footsteps after getting his first taste of first team action against Grimsby Town in the League Cup last week.
Anjorin came off the bench to inspire Chelsea U23's fightback in a 2-2 draw away at Leicester City three days after his maiden appearance for the first team.
Speaking to Chelsea's official website, Anjorin said : ''It was a big moment for me and my family, coming up through the ranks looking up to players making their debuts such as Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Andreas Christensen. It was a big day.
''On today, to get the draw from being two goals down is good, it was a much better second-half performance from the team.''
The England youth international is expected to feature for Chelsea when they face Lille in the UEFA Youth League this Wednesday.
