Published: January 12, 2020
Chelsea loanee Ike Ugbo scored a dramatic equaliser as Roda JC Kerkrade fought back from two goals down to earn a share of the spoils in their Eerste Divisie clash against MVV Maastricht on Sunday afternoon.
MVV caused their own downfall as they were leading 2-0 with two minutes remaining after scoring through Joeri Schroijen and Koen Kostons.
Roda JC number 7, Roland Alberg halved the deficit in the 90th minute before Ugbo made it 2-2 in the first minute of stoppage time after capitalizing on a mistake from goalkeeper Bertrams.
Ugbo ended a run of four games in the league without finding the net following his goal today against MVV.
Having said that the former England U17 international has contributed to half of the 26 goals (11 goals, 2 assists) scored by Roda in the Eerste Divisie this season.
Roda JC occupy the 16th position in the provisional standings with 18 points from 21 matches.
The Limburg based club travel to Utrecht II in their next fixture on Monday, January 20.
