Talented Chelsea midfielder Faustino Anjorin has been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for January 2020, informs the official website of the English Premier League.
Joining Anjorin on the list of nominees are Liam Cullen (Swansea City), Shae Hutchinson (Norwich City), Ben Knight (Man City), Matthew Smith (Arsenal), Rayhaan Tulloch (West Brom) and Admiral Muskwe (Leicester City).
Anjorin scored in each of the three matches he was involved in for Chelsea's youth teams last month, against Aston Villa in the U18 Premier League before netting in back-to-back Premier League 2 matches against Everton and Leicester City.
The 18-year-old has tallied five goals in this season's Premier League 2, including his recent brace against the Toffees, helping The Blues remain unbeaten in the division after 16 matches.
The PL 2 Player of the Month nominees were selected by the Premier League Football Development Panel after PL2 club coaches picked out the best performance by an opposing player in each of their league matches during the month.
Anjorin made his debut for Chelsea's first team in a League Cup clash against Grimsby Town last September, playing the last 23 minutes in a 7-1 victory.
