Omilabu Making Inroads At Crystal Palace, Scores Brace In Latest Win Vs Millwall U18
Published: February 06, 2020
Crystal Palace youth-team striker David Omilabu is fast becoming one of the most important players for the Premier League club's U-18 team, if his recent displays are anything to go by.
The highly-rated teenager has maintained an upward curve in his progression with the Selhurst Park outfit and is yet again exemplifying his hunger to become the most effective goal poacher in the cadet division in the nearest future.
Last weekend, Omilabu who is up for grabs for Nigeria's Flying Eagles hit a pair of stunning goals as they downed Millwall U-18s in a league game at the Academy Training Ground, Beckenham.
His team trailed to a penalty in the first half after Jashaun Chamberlin-Gayle was dismissed for denying the visitors a clear goalscoring opportunity, but his double turned the game on its head.
Omilabu ended the 2018-2019 campaign with an impressive 41 goals from just 26 games for the youth teams of the club, while also providing 23 assists.
Thus, everything is pointing to the prospect of the youngster earning even further progression at the club's academy despite his very tender years.
