Two Nigerian Teenagers In The Running For Arsenal's Goal Of The Month January
Two Nigerian teenagers in the shape of Bukayo Saka and Folarin Balogun are both in the running for Arsenal's Goal of the Month award for January 2020, according to arsenal.com.

Balogun's strike against Leicester City U23 and Saka's effort against Bournemouth are on a ten-goal shortlist for the best goal scored by an Arsenal player last month.

The duo are up against Sam Greenwood, Jordan Nobbs (2), Matthew Dennis (2), Danielle van de Donk, Gabriel Martinelli and Hector Bellerin for the accolade.

Left-back cum left winger Saka was the star of the show as Arsenal beat Bournemouth in the Emirates FA Cup on January 27, scoring and providing an assist in a 2-1 win.

It took the Hale End Academy product less than five minutes to open the scoring vs The Cherries as he finished off a team move involving Arsenal's ten outfield players and with 22 passes in the build up to the goal.

Balogun is nominated for his brilliant left-footed half volley from the edge of the box which gave Arsenal a crucial 2-0 lead in a Premier League International Cup clash vs Leicester City on January 17.
