Celtic Hero Name-checks Saka As He Reveals Four Good Young Players At Arsenal
Published: February 29, 2020
Former Celtic and Arsenal striker Charlie Nicholas reserved special praise for Nigeria-eligible starlet Bukayo Saka as he revealed the names of four good young attack-minded players at the Gunners.
Saka was in the Arsenal team that suffered a disappointing 2-1 loss to Olympiakos as they crashed out of the Europa League on Thursday night.
Predominantly a left-winger, the England U19 international has been deployed at left-back since December, acting as cover for the injured duo Sead Kolasinac and Kieran Tierney and he has earned rave reviews for his performances, especially his offensive contributions.
Speaking to Sky Sports UK, Nicholas said : "I have enjoyed small improvements under Arteta, the attacking side of things in particular, which includes Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, Joe Willock and Eddie Nketiah. I can seriously look at and say these young players are very good.
"However, I am gutted they are out of the Europa League, but it so typical of Arsenal. They cause their own problems and cause their own damage.
"Getting to ninth in the league and out at the last 32 stage is not an improvement. They do have the top four and the FA cup to go for.

"Anything like that would be fabulous, but this team has a long way to go before their problems are solved."
In 27 outings across all competitions this term, Saka has provided ten assists, more than any other Arsenal player.
