Arsenal Coach Mikel Arteta Urgently Wants Saka To Sign New Multi-Year Contract
Published: March 19, 2020Though Arsenal could lose their talismanic captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer, they have the intention of extending their association with exciting teenager Bukayo Saka.
In his first full season with the first team, the Hale End Academy product has become an important player due to his versatility, making 29 appearances in all competitions of which 21 were starts.
With Saka's first professional contract he signed in 2018 set to expire in June 2021, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta urgently wants the left winger to sign a new multi-year contract.
According to The Telegraph, Arsenal's deadlocked contract talks with the England U19 international is a priority for Arteta when the squad reconvenes next week, after the Premier League was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Gunners are keen to get it done and dusted as soon as possible as Saka has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
The 18-year-old, who is eligible to represent Nigeria through his parents, currently earns 7,000 pounds a week at the north London club.
