Coronavirus : Paderborn's Nigeria International Defender Collins Tests Negative
Published: March 19, 2020Nigeria international Jamilu Collins will be heaving a sigh of relief as he has tested negative for the coronavirus.
According to the official website of German Bundesliga side SC Paderborn 07, all the forty five tests performed on the players and staff were negative.
Paderborn's Germany U21 star Luca Kilian was the first Bundesliga player to test positive for coronavirus so the players and staff had to be put into quarantine as they came into close contact with the central defender.
"We are very relieved, because the tension was very high among everyone involved. We will now explore when and in what form we can return to training,'' said Managing Director Sport Martin Przondziono.
Collins and the rest of his teammates are keeping fit individually and they must remain at home until at least the end of next week.
The Super Eagles left-back has played 21 games in his maiden season in the Bundesliga, scoring one goal against reigning champions Bayern Munich back in September 2019.
