Official : Omagbemi And Swedish Club Oskarshamns AIK Agree To Go Their Separate Ways
Published: April 15, 2020
Oskarshamns AIK and experienced Nigerian striker Dudu Omagbemi have mutually agreed to end their association, writes the official website of the Swedish Division One Sodra outfit.
Omagbemi joined Oskarshamns AIK less than three months ago and departs the club without making his league debut as the league was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 34-year-old netted on his competitive debut against Orebro SK in the Svenska Cupen and made two more appearances in the competition, logging 270 minutes in total.
"He has his base in Finland and has been home with his family lately. He has young children and we have a full understanding of his situation," Stefan Johansson said on behalf of Oskarshamns AIK.
"We don't want to force him to come here, especially considering we don't know when the league will start."
Omagbemi previously wore the colours of Sporting Goa, Dempo, Salgaocar Goa, Penang, Wisla Krakow, Debrecen,
Kecskemét TE, KuPS, Honka, East Bengal, Pune City, FC Goa, Mohun Bagan,
FC Haka and Chennaiyin FC.
