Iheanacho's Former Coach Offers Transfer Advice To Leicester Striker Amid Trabzonspor Link
Published: April 19, 2020
Kelechi Iheanacho's former coach at Taye Academy, Kennedy Ezenwere has urged the Nigeria international to remain at Leicester City amid speculation linking the striker with a move to Turkish Super Lig table-toppers Trabzonspor.
Iheanacho has been identified as a possible candidate to replace Alexander Sorloth, who is reportedly on the radar of English and French clubs.
After a difficult 2018-2019 campaign, the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup Golden Ball winner has returned to form this season under manager Brendan Rodgers and it's something which pleases his former guardian, Ezenwere.
"I want him in a team where he can be playing. Now I like as he's playing in Leicester City, he wasn't playing before," said Ezenwere to allnigeriasoccer.com.
"I don't want him to leave Leicester City because if he leaves for example to Turkey, I don't think it's going to be possible for people to watch him play.
"He's doing very well for Leicester this season, I'm happy, everybody is happy with him, I'm very impressed with his performances now. Let him remain in England."

Ezenwere revealed that Iheanacho was lacking confidence during his time with Manchester City but he has noticed that the striker is beginning to enjoy his football again at Leicester City.
"When Kelechi was with me, the most important thing I discovered about his football was his confidence.
"But I didn't see that confidence in his football again when he moved to Manchester City, he was having that problem at Man City.
"When I confronted him, he said it was the condition the coach gave to him - that he should not stay too long with the ball, make one or two touches.
"Now I can see he is beginning to apply that confidence when playing at Leicester City. He can now move the ball, he can now hold on to the ball, he can now be selfish with the ball sometimes."

Iheanacho, 23, has been involved in 12 goals (8 goals, 4 assists) from 18 appearances for Leicester City so far this season.
