'It Scares Me A Bit When He's At The Back' - Arsenal Legend Wants Saka To Be Used As A Winger
Published: April 19, 2020
Legendary Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson has advised manager Mikel Arteta to deploy talented teenager Bukayo Saka as a winger rather than the left-back role he was tasked with following injuries to Sead Kolasinac and Kieran Tierney.
Though Saka can wreak havoc going forward, Wilson believes the left-back position is not ideal for the Hale End Academy product because he has defensive frailties.
"People have been talking to me about him for the past two years, about his potential," Wilson told The Islington Gazette via Tribuna.
"I've been saying to people to keep an eye on him. I have great hopes for him."

He added : "It scares me a bit when he's at the back because he's quite short and if a ball is heaved into the box and you up against someone big you aren't going to win it.
"His best position is further forward."

In 29 outings across all competitions this season, Saka has registered ten assists, more than any other Arsenal player.
