Ex-Liverpool Star Turned Commentator Names Saka As Favourite Arsenal Player; Okocha Best Nigerian
Published: May 02, 2020
Iconic English Premier League commentator Jim Beglin has revealed that Bukayo Saka is his favourite Arsenal player.
The Hale End Academy product has been a revelation for the Gunners this season, helping out in defence following the injuries suffered by Sead Kolasinac and Kieran Tierney.
The 18-year-old is highly regarded by the powers that be at the Emirates Stadium outfit and they are looking to tie him down to a new deal with his contract set to run out in June 2021.
Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are closely monitoring the situation of the Anglo-Nigerian winger ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
In a question and answer session on Twitter, Beglin was asked to name his favourite player in Arsenal right now and he replied : "Bukayo Saka. Great potential."
Quizzed on his best Nigerian player, he responded, ''I like Jay-Jay Okocha".
A left-back during his playing days, Beglin won the domestic double - the English First Division and FA Cup - with Liverpool in 1986.
