'Nothing To Report At The Moment' - Heerenveen Director Of Football On Ejuke
Published: May 25, 2020
Heerenveen Director Of Football, Gerry Hamstra has suggested that the club have not yet received a bid for Chidera Ejuke amid speculation linking the Nigerian winger with a departure from De Superfriezen in the summer transfer window.
Eredivisie powerhouse Feyenoord are among the clubs keeping tabs on the former Valerenga Fotball starlet, who is also attracting interest from teams based in the United Arab Emirates and China.
Ejuke had his most successful season as a professional, with the winger involved in 16 goals (10 goals, 6 assists), a number bettered by only seven Nigerian players on the books of European top-flight clubs this season.
"I also said that recently: there is not much concrete to report about that. We only do that when there is really something to report," Hamstra told FOX Sports via feanonline.nl.
"It is also cucumber time. There is a lot of shouting and all news sites must also be full. There is simply nothing concrete to report at the moment."
Ejuke has a contract with Heerenveen until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
