Chelsea Will Consider Super Eagles Winger As Alternative If Man Utd Sign Sancho
Published: May 29, 2020
Chelsea continue to be linked with a move for Villarreal rising star Samuel Chuwkueze in the summer transfer window.
According to Goal.com, Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho is Frank Lampard's preferred choice to bolster the wings while the Nigeria international is the first alternative if they fail to land the services of the Englishman.
Chelsea's plan to sign Sancho is under threat as they face competition from Manchester United and the coronavirus pandemic has dealt a blow to the finances of even the big clubs.
Manchester United were believed to be in an advantageous position to sign Sancho before the global pandemic.
The 20-year-old, who has two years left on his deal with the Bundesliga club, is valued at more than 110 million euros by Borussia Dortmund.
Chukwueze has admitted that he grew up supporting Chelsea because of the presence of Mikel at the club.
Apart from Mikel, The Stamford Bridge outfit have signed two exciting Nigerian-born players this century, Kenneth Omeruo and Victor Moses.
Chukwueze is also on the radar of Chelsea's Premier League rivals Liverpool and Arsenal as well as clubs in Spain.
