'Hope There Will Be News Soon' - Racing Genk Target Dessers Wants His Future Sorted Out
Published: June 03, 2020Cyriel Dessers wants his future at Heracles Almelo sorted out as soon as possible amid suggestions that the summer transfer window could remain open until the first week of October.
It's common knowledge that Racing Genk have shown the most interest to sign Dessers in recent days but Heracles Almelo are playing hard ball with their Belgian counterparts over the Super Eagles hopeful.
The Belgian-Nigerian striker wants to move to a club where he would become a key player and not to make up the numbers.
"I hope there will be news soon. I don't want to drag and wait all summer. Without corona it would have been very different, I think. Now the market is so uncertain, everything is uncertain," Dessers said to Tubantia.
"With the transfers I made before, I really relied on my gut feeling. The feeling must be top.
"I read somewhere that they want to extend the transfer period to October, they can do that, but really, I don't want to wait that long and be in uncertainty".
Dessers represented Belgian teams FC De Zwaluw Vechmaal, Union FC Rutten, SK Tongeren, St-Truiden, Oud-Heverlee Leuven and KSC Lokeren before moving to the Netherlands in 2016.
