Manchester City Loanee Adarabioyo Strikes For Blackburn Rovers In Win Vs Bristol City
Published: June 20, 2020
Manchester City loanee Tosin Adarabioyo was among the scorers as Blackburn Rovers beat Bristol City 3-1 in the Championship on Saturday afternoon, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Jamie Paterson headed the visitors ahead in the 34th minute but their lead lasted only three minutes, with Corry Evans restoring parity.
Sixteen minutes into the second half, Adarabioyo curled a shot into the top right corner to make it 2-1 and Rovers made sure the points were safe when Adam Armstrong picked out the bottom corner at minute 71.
Including his goals against Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic, the former England youth international of Nigerian parentage has tallied three goals this term, his top-scoring season to date as a professional.
Adarabioyo spent the whole of last season on loan at West Brom, for whom he made 36 appearances in all competitions.
Today's win put Blackburn Rovers on 56 points in the provisional standings, one less than Preston North End who occupy the last playoff spot.
