Confirmed : Tottenham Hotspur's Nigeria-Eligible Midfielder Extends His Stay At QPR
Published: June 22, 2020
English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed through their official website that Nigeria-eligible midfielder Luke Amos has extended his loan deal with Queens Park Rangers.
The former England U18 international will now remain at the Hoops until the end of the 2019-2020 Championship season, including the playoffs.
Amos' original agreement with the second-tier London club was due to run out at the end of this month.
The 1997-born player was among five players of Nigerian descent manager Mark Warburton named in his matchday squad for Saturday's 1-0 loss to Barnsley, the others being Eberechi Eze, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Olamide Shodipo and Aramide Oteh.
Overall, Amos has recorded 27 appearances in all competitions since his arrival at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in July 2019, scoring two goals.
Queens Park Rangers are his third loan club in four seasons, having previously spent time at Southend United and Stevenage.
Amos has made one appearance for Tottenham Hotspur's first team to date and it came against Newcastle United on the opening day of the 2018-2019 season when he replaced Eric Dier in the 88th minute.
