Confirmed : Former Chelsea Defender Offered New Contract By Cheltenham Town
Former Chelsea defender Josh Debayo has been offered a new contract by English Football League club Cheltenham Town.

On Tuesday, Cheltenham Town confirmed their retained and released list following the conclusion of their season that saw them qualify for the semifinals of the playoffs.

If Debayo accepts the offer on the table, he would have to report for pre-seaosn training with the Robins in the coming weeks.

In the 2019-2020 campaign, the fullback recorded nine appearances in all competitions and was a non-playing substitute in both legs as Cheltenham Town were beaten by Northampton Town in the semifinals of the League Two playoffs.

Debayo started his footballing career with London clubs Fulham and Chelsea, before spells with the academy teams of Southampton and Leicester City.

Since July 2018, he has been on the books of Cheltenham Town and spent time on loan at National League club Dover Athletic during the 2018-2019 season.

Debayo trained with the Golden Eaglets before their trip to the United Arab Emirates for the 2013 U17 World Cup but was omitted from the final roster.
