'It Is Not Clear And Obvious For Me' - Ex-Leicester Midfielder Savage On Ndidi Handball Incident
Published: July 02, 2020One of the big talking points from Leicester City's 2-1 loss to Everton in a Premier League game at Goodison Park on Wednesday evening was the decision of the referee to award a penalty sixteen minutes into the game after a lengthy consultation with the video assistant referee.
The penalty, tucked home by Gylfi Sigurdsson, was awarded after Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi was adjudged to have handled the ball in the area.
Former Leicester City midfielder Robbie Savage cannot understand why the penalty was given by David Coote, saying it wasn't conclusive and even suggested that the ball hit the hand of Everton defender Michael Keane first.
"VAR decided it was the handball of Ndidi. There, Sigurdsson put it away so clearly," Savage said on Premier League Productions.
"It did take a while, it is not clear and obvious for me, we were looking at it for one, two, three minutes, I still can't tell.
"It is not clear and obvious whose hand it hit first, I'm not sure because one angle it looks like it has hit Ndidi's hand, the other angle it looks like it's Keane."

The 23-year-old Ndidi made his 33rd appearance of the season in all competitions against the Toffees.
