Former West Ham Striker Points Out Major Difference Between Bukayo Saka And Chelsea's Hudson-Odoi
Published: July 11, 2020
Former West Ham and Sierra Leone international striker Leroy Rosenior has hailed the qualities of Bukayo Saka who is having a breakout season with Arsenal.
Rosenior has highlighted the major difference between Saka and another exciting young winger in Callum Hudson-Odoi, saying the Chelsea starlet has a tendency to drift out of games whereas the Arsenal teenager is actively involved in most of his team's build-up play.
The statistics back the point made by the ex-Hammer, with Saka contributing to 16 goals (4 goals, 12 assists) in all competitions this term while Hudson-Odoi, who is a year older than the Anglo-Nigerian, involved in 8 goals (3 goals, 5 assists).
Speaking on Weekend Warm-up to discuss the upcoming fixtures in the Premier League, Rosenior said : "He's got twelve assists in all competitions, only behind Trent Alexander-Arnold (14) and Kevin De Bruyne (19), it just shows you how well he's done this season.
"And I just love his position as a wide player, you know you see too many young wide players outside of play, Hudson-Odoi is a little bit like that but not this kid."

Saka has been backed to add to his Premier League tally after opening his account in a 2-0 win vs Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.
"This is his first goal for Arsenal, and this is something that I think he will add to his game, once he has got his first one I think they will come very quickly," concluded Rosenior.
Saka has racked up 39 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions since making his first-team debut in a Europa League match against Vorskla Poltava in November 2018.
