Super Eagles Star Onuachu Given Clean Bill To Resume Training After Negative COVID-19 Test
Published: July 16, 2020Paul Onuachu has been given a clean bill of health to resume training with Belgian First Division A side Racing Genk after returning a negative COVID-19 test.
Last Tuesday, the Nigeria international was forced to be quarantined after testing positive for the coronavirus following his return from Nigeria.
A pre-season fixture against Eendracht Termien was cancelled after the Nigerian tested positive as he had been involved in contact training with the rest of the squad leading up to the friendly.
Onuachu was unavailable for selection as Racing Genk defeated Royal Union Saint-Gilloise 3-1 on Wednesday.
"But Friday he will just train with the group," Racing Genk coach Hannes Wolf told Het Nieuwsblad .
"Paul can also compete against Excelsior on Friday in the exhibition match."
The FC Midtjylland star got on the scoresheet ten times in his maiden season in Belgium.
