Antalyaspor Strong Contenders To Sign Super Eagles Fullback Shehu
Published: August 15, 2020
Turkish Super Lig side Antalyaspor have emerged as strong contenders to sign Nigeria international Abdullahi Shehu, according to reports.
Turkish sports daily Fanatik claims that the Red and Whites are having contract talks with the versatile right-back and are close to an agreement.
Shehu is currently a free agent after his contract with Bursaspor ran out at the end of the 2019-2020 season.
He arrived in Turkey in January 2018 after stops at Anorthosis Famagusta, União da Madeira and Qadsia.
Though Bursaspor missed out on promotion, Shehu had one of his best seasons since moving abroad, scoring four goals in 31 Turkish 1 Lig games.
Young Nigeria forward Paul Mukairu played for Antalyaspor last term and Shehu could be joining him at the Mediterranean club if all goes well.
