Published: August 15, 2020
The official Twitter account of the Emirates FA Cup will in the coming days unveil the Team of the Season for the 2019-2020 competition, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Fans have been asked to send in their nominations to create a final starting lineup from the 2019-20 Emirates FA Cup season.
Of the four players nominated for a striking role, two in the shape of Manchester United's Odion Ighalo and Norwich City's Adam Idah are eligible to represent the Nigeria National Team.
Shrewsbury Town star Jason Cummings and Port Vale center forward Tom Pope complete the list of strikers nominated.
Despite missing three FA Cup matches - the third round and replay vs Wolverhampton Wanderers plus the fourth round vs Tranmere Rovers - Ighalo finished as Manchester United's top scorer in the competition with three goals.
The former Nigeria international bagged a brace against Derby County, before scoring against Norwich City.
Adam Idah, who is eligible to represent the Super Eagles through his father Charles Idah, netted a hat-trick on his FA Cup debut as Norwich City beat Preston North End 4-2 in the third round.
Both Ighalo and Idah played three games each before their respective sides exited the FA Cup which was won by Arsenal.
