Fulham In Talks With Torino Over Loan Move For Chelsea Product Ola Aina
Published: September 04, 2020
According to West London Sport, English Premier League newcomers Fulham are negotiating with Torino over a loan move for Nigeria national-teamer Ola Aina.
The future of Aina at Torino has been the subject of speculation in the last few months, with reports linking him with possible moves to top-flight clubs in France, England and Italy.
Predominantly a fullback, the Chelsea Academy product has been deployed in an unusual position of midfielder in Torino's last two friendlies, which suggests that he is not in the plans of manager Marco Giampaolo for the coming season.
Aina excelled in his first season at Torino and his loan deal was made permanent at the end of the 2018-2019 campaign.
In 69 games across all competitions for the Maroons to date, he has scored one goal and provided six assists.
There is substance to the reports linking Ola Aina with a move to Fulham as his younger brother Jordan has trained with the Cottagers in pre-season.
Though Aina is a Nigeria international, he will count as a homegrown player if he joins Fulham.
