Bukayo Saka's Arsenal To Face Ndidi And Iheanacho's Leicester In Carabao Cup Third Round
Published: September 06, 2020
Arsenal will kickstart their Carabao Cup campaign for the 2020-2021 season when they travel to the King Power Stadium to trade tackles with Leicester City in the week commencing September 21.
Both the Foxes and Gunners were given a bye in the opening two rounds after they qualified for the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.
If the pre-season preparations are anything to go by, several players of Nigerian descent could be involved when the two Premier League teams meet.
Leicester City trio Josh Felix-Eppiah, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi played at least one pre-season game, while Bukayo Saka, James Olayinka and Tolaji Bola are in contention to play for Mikel Arteta's side.
With the exception of Eppiah, all the aforementioned players have been named to matchday squads by their respective teams for competitive matches.
Arsenal have two League Cup titles to their name, one less than their next opponent in the competition, Leicester City.
