'If Di Marzio Says So' - Conte Responds To Inter Milan's Link With Chelsea Star Moses
Published: October 05, 2020Manager Antonio Conte has responded to speculation linking Inter Milan with a deadline day move for former Nigeria international Victor Moses.
Italian transfer market expect Gianluca Di Marzio broke the news that the Nerazzurri were working on signing the versatile Chelsea wing-back before the close of the summer transfer window on Monday.
Moses has been declared surplus to requirements by Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and time is running out for him to join a club in one of the top five European Leagues.
Reacting to the rumours linking Moses with a return to Inter Milan, Conte was quoted as saying by Sempre Inter : "I do not talk about the market, there are executives for this. I say my thoughts, then there is the management.
"They decide what can and cannot be done. Moses? If Di Marzio says so, who has direct connections then…"
Moses has not played for Chelsea's first team in an official match since September 29, 2018 when he was in action for the last 17 minutes of a 1-1 draw with Liverpool in the Premier League.
