Ex-Manchester United Schoolboy Odubeko Nominated For West Ham's Goal Of The Month
Former Manchester United schoolboy Mipo Odubeko's stunning strike against Southend United in the EFL Trophy has been nominated for West Ham's Goal of the Month for September 2020, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

The Nigeria-eligible striker bagged a brace against the League Two team but it's his second goal that has been shortlisted.

With seven minutes remaining, Odubeko unleashed a brilliant left-footed shot from just outside the area to make it 2-0.

Still only 17 years of age and eligible for the Hammers U18s Odubeko has proved in the new season that he is more than ripe for the development squad with a series of fine displays for the age group including during the pre-season.

He was being considered for a professional debut by first team boss David Moyes prior to his spell on the sidelines.

Odubeko's strike is on a six-goal shortlist for the monthly accolade, alongside Adriana Leon, Conor Coventry, who has been double nominated, Jarrod Bowen and Robert Snodgrass.
