Manchester United, Chelsea, Everton, Leicester, Wolves Interested In Super Eagles Winger
Published: November 02, 2020
Samuel Chukwueze's performances for Villarreal and Super Eagles have not escaped the attention of clubs in the English Premier League.
According to 90min.com, the Nigeria international is wanted by Manchester United and Everton while Chelsea still maintain an interest in the pacy winger despite the capture of Kai Havertz as there are doubts over the future of Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Leicester City are also interested in signing the 21-year-old Chukwueze after missing out on his signature before he moved to the Yellow Submarine.
In the January transfer window, Liverpool tested the waters regarding the acquisition of the youngster and Wolverhampton Wanderers have him as a candidate to replace Adama Traore if the Spaniard departs the club.
Chukwueze has a release clause of 100 million euros (approximately N53.5
billion), which has to be triggered by an interested club before he can
shred his agreement with Villarreal.
The Diamond Academy product opened his account for the new season in the ongoing game against Real Valladolid on Monday night, leaving him one goal shy of his tenth career goal in La Liga.
Chukwueze is tied to Villarreal until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
