Ighalo Still Out In The Cold As Man Utd Set New Club Record With Win Vs Southampton
Manchester United have set a new club record for successive away wins after coming from two goals down to beat Southampton 3-2 at the St Mary's Stadium on Sunday afternoon, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

The Red Devils were on seven away wins before heading to the South Coast, beating Brighton & Hove (2), Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Newcastle United and Everton.

As for team news, former Nigeria international Odion Ighalo is still out in the cold with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær omitting the Shanghai Shenhua loanee from the matchday 18 for the fifth successive game in the Premier League, while Southampton's Nathan Tella was a non-playing substitute.

The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations top scorer has not been in action in the topflight since coming off the bench against Crystal Palace on matchday two, putting his long-term future at the Old Trafford outfit up in the air.

It looked as if Manchester United's perfect away record would end after finding themselves two goals down inside 33 minutes, Jan Bednarek and James Ward-Prowse the scorers for the home team.

But Southampton's lead was dramatically wiped out in the second half as two diving headers from substitute Edinson Cavani and Bruno Fernandes' strike secured an eighth consecutive away win for United.

Manchester United have jumped to seventh position in the standings with 16 points accumulated ahead of their visit to the capital to face West Ham United on Saturday, December 5.
