Fulham Winger Jasper Names The First Team Player He Admires The Most; Targets First Team
Published: November 30, 2020
Fulham winger of Nigerian descent Sylvester Jasper has revealed that Tom Cairney is the first team player he admires the most at the Cottagers but admitted that he learns from each player whenever he is called up to train with the main squad.
The highly-rated teenager has made three appearances to date for Fulham's first team comprising two matches in the Championship and the other in an Emirates FA Cup defeat to Manchester City.
On the first team player he admires the most, Jasper told Fulham's YouTube page : "Probably Tom Cairney, just technical, things I can learn the way he does it, a couple of things.
"I feel like mainly from the whole group I can take things up from each, each player you can take a little something and then add it to your game because I feel like that's the beauty of training with a collective of first team players."

Jasper is targeting a first team breakthrough at Fulham and if everything goes according to plan it's a goal that is achievable having played three games off the bench in the 2019-2020 season.
"Obviously everyone wants to be involved with first team football, so I, of course, want to breakthrough to the first team.
"If that is impossible, then of course alone would be a good way to develop, play first team football, get used to the environment and surrounding, play against first team players, and then hopefully then we'll be able to move forward, break into the first team and that's the goal," he added.

The 19-year-old Jasper is eligible to represent Nigeria through his father, Bulgaria through his mother and England where he was born.
