'Zaha Was Assisted By Amazing Play By Eze' - Palace Boss Hails His No. 25 After Club Record Win
England U21 international of Nigerian descent Eberechi Eze helped Crystal Palace set a new Premier League record following their 5-1 rout of Semi Ajayi's West Brom at the Hawthorns on Sunday afternoon.

According to OPTA, the Eagles scored five goals in an away match in the top-flight for the first time in their history, with today their 404th away match in the top-flight.

There were starts for Eze and Super Eagles center back Semi Ajayi and the duo went the full ninety.

The attacking midfielder continues to make a big impression, especially in recent games, since signing from Queens Park Rangers and shone once again today.

Crystal Palace talisman Wilfried Zaha made it 4-1 when he poked in from eight yards, assisted by Eze.

The number 25 ran at the West Brom defence, played a one-two with Christian Benteke before the ball ran kindly for Zaha to net his second of the game midway through the second hafl.

Speaking to Sky Sports post-match, Palace manager Roy Hodgson praised Eze for his brilliant assist : "I was apologising for not giving him (Zaha) the chance to get his hat-trick but I'm pleased he is disappointed with that.

"He scored two very good goals and he was assisted by amazing play by Eberechi Eze."

Palace's other scorers were Darnell Furlong (own goal) and Christian Benteke (2), while Conor Gallagher netted a consolation goal for the Baggies.
