'He's Going To Celtic, Fenerbahce And Rangers' - QPR Boss Reacts To Bright-Osayi Speculation
Published: January 10, 2021
Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Warburton has played down speculation linking Bright Osayi-Samuel with a departure from the club this month.
It was claimed that the Nigerian-born winger was set to join Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce in the January transfer window, and Scottish clubs Rangers and Celtic were battling to sign him as a free agent in the summer.
The 23-year-old has entered the final six months of his contract with The Hoops, meaning he can negotiate a pre-contract with an overseas club this month.
Warburton has insisted that it's all speculation and joked that Osayi-Samuel would need an up-to-date passport before sealing a move to one of the clubs interested in his signature.
"Apparently he’s going to Celtic and Fenerbahce and Rangers as well. I hope he’s got a good passport," Warburton was quoted as saying by West London Sport.
"It’s all rumours and it keeps the media going. My only concern is Bright working hard, training well and performing well."

Osayi-Samuel started Queens Park Rangers' 2-0 loss to Fulham in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday but limped off in the 90th minute.
