'Madueke Is Actually Too Fast' - Glasgow Rangers Hero Hails Pacy PSV Whizkid
Published: January 11, 2021
Glasgow Rangers hero Ronald de Boer has praised exciting winger Nonso Madueke following PSV Eindhoven's 2-2 draw with Ajax Amsterdam in an Eredivisie clash on Sunday evening.
The retired Netherlands international noted that Madueke caused problems with his pace and believes that Ajax defender Perr Schuurs was fortunate not to be sent off for fouling the PSV number 23 in the closing minutes of the game.
"I think he was incredibly lucky there. Madueke is actually too fast, he must know. It was a free kick and it could have been red," de Boer said on Dit Was Het Weekend.
"At top level, in the Champions League, they may be even faster than Madueke. He has to be better."
Madueke came off the bench in the 82nd minute as a replacement for Eran Zahavi - his 14th appearance in the Dutch top-flight this term.
All in all, the 18-year-old has been involved in 13 goals (6 goals, 7 assists) in 2020-2021.
