German Clubs Really Interested In Arsenal Contract Rebel Balogun But Not RB Leipzig
Published: January 29, 2021
According to Italian transfer market guru Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are set to make a decision on Folarin Balogun before the close of the January transfer window.
The Gunners contract rebel has approximately five months left on his contract and this could force the north London club to sell him before the window closes rather than losing him as a free agent come the summer.
Romano has revealed that Balogun is drawing interest from the German Bundesliga but does not think his next destination would be RB Leipzig should he leave Arsenal.
"Balogun wants to play. He only wants to play. If he’s going to play, there’s chances for Arsenal," Romano said on his Here We Go Podcast (via The Boot Room).
"But if he’s not going to play, then there are chances for other clubs. He’s in a good relationship with the club cos he loves Arsenal.

"I think in the coming days we will understand more on his future. Keep an eye on Bundesliga. Some German clubs are really interested but not RB Leipzig".
Balogun has not played for Arsenal's first team since scoring and providing an assist in a 4-2 win over Dundalk in the Europa League on December 10, 2020.
