Pictured : Chelsea's New Manager Tuchel Runs The Rule Over Anjorin Ahead Of Burnley Clash
Published: January 29, 2021
Chelsea continued their preparations for the Premier League match against Burnley with another training session at Cobham on Friday.
Chelsea's new manager Thomas Tuchel put the first team players through their paces with Anglo-Nigerian midfielder Faustino Anjorin in attendance.
The German football tactician also ran the rule over the England youth international in his first training session, before the visit of Wolverhampton Wanderers, but omitted him from the matchday squad as he preferred more experienced players.
Tuchel was pictured dishing out instructions to Anjorin and French World Cup winner Olivier Giroud during the workout.
Capable of playing in multiple attacking positions, the 19-year-old is battling the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Kai Havertz for a spot on the team.
Still technically part of Chelsea U23 squad, Anjorin produced an impressive performance in his last game for the age group, scoring twice and providing two assists in a 6-1 rout of Manchester United in the Premier League 2.
Chelsea and Burnley face off at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, January 31, starting from 1300 hours.
