Rangers Yet To Lose A Game With Aribo On The Scoresheet; Super Eagle Delighted To Score Again
Scottish Premiership champions-in-waiting Glasgow Rangers are yet to lose a game with their Nigerian midfielder Joe Aribo getting on the scoresheet.

The former Charlton Athletic man netted for the second game running in all competitions as the Light Blues thrashed Dundee United 4-1 at Ibrox Stadium on Sunday.

Aribo set up the opening goal scored by Ianis Hagi in the 35th minute, the Romanian diverted the ball home after the Super Eagles star fired at goal.

Two minutes into the second half, the number 17 got in on the act with a screamer from just inside the box to put Steven Gerrard's side in cruise control.

Aribo has now scored 16 goals in 78 matches across all competitions since joining Rangers, with the Light Blues winning fourteen and drawing just once against St. Johnstone in February 2020 in the fifteen matches he got on the scoresheet.

Speaking after the game, Aribo told Rangers TV : "The boys are buzzing, we knew it wasn't going to be an easy game.

"We had to start fast and give all we could in the game to get a foothold and just keep going throughout the whole 90 minutes."

He added: "Everyone in training says I just like to finesse and curl it but I've been practicing so I just thought I would put my laces through it and thankfully it went in.

"I just want to finish the season strong, keep pushing, keep going and giving all that I can and I am happy that I'm getting positive results".

Meanwhile, Leon Balogun continued in a right-back role in the absence of skipper James Tavernier and provided the assist for Rangers' second goal scored by Ryan Kent in the 38th minute.
