Arsenal midfielder Azeez drops selection hint ahead of Europa League match vs Slavia Prague
Published: April 15, 2021
Nigeria-eligible youngster Miguel Azeez has hinted that he has been named in the matchday squad for Arsenal's eagerly anticipated Europa League quarterfinal clash against Slavia Prague on Thursday evening.
The England youth international posted on social media five hours sixteen minutes before the start of the game that will hold at the Eden Arena - Prague.
Azeez has been part of the first team bubble in the last one week or so as he was spotted training with the first team several times during the period, including their final session on English soil before the trip to the Czech Republic.
The Hale End Academy product was an unused substitute in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium on April 8.
Azeez uploaded a ten-second video on Twitter, accompanied with the caption : "Vamos🔥💪🏽 @Arsenal @EuropaLeague".
Manager Mikel Arteta has handed minutes to Azeez in the Europa League, against Dundalk back in December, with the midfielder coming off the bench to replace Joe Willock in the 83rd minute.
Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Europa League quarterfinal.
