Official : Former Liverpool winger Ibe released from Derby County contract by mutual consent
Former Liverpool star Jordon Ibe has left Championship club Derby County by mutual consent, the Rams announced through their official website on Thursday.

The original agreement between club and player was due to run out at the end of the 2021-2022 season, with the winger signing a two-year deal last summer following his release by Bournemouth.

Ibe had previously played for Derby County on loan from Liverpool during the 2014-2015 campaign, scoring five goals in twenty appearances.

The ex-England U21 international struggled in his second spell at the Rams due to fitness issues, logging only three minutes in all competitions which came against Stoke City back in December.

He was approached by ex-Nigeria manager Sunday Olise to switch allegiance to the Super Eagles in 2015 but rejected the chance to play for the three-time African champions.

Apart from the aforementioned teams, Ibe counts Charlton Athletic and Wycombe Wanderers among his previous clubs.
