Super Eagles hopeful scores spectacular goal vs Manchester United in pre-season friendly
Published: July 24, 2021Queens Park Rangers beat Manchester United 4-2 in a pre-season friendly staged at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with Super Eagles hopeful Moses Odubajo among the scorers.
Odubajo, currently a free agent, is working out with the Hoops with a view to a transfer before the start of the new season.
The former Brentford man was a player of interest to the Nigeria Football Federation and manager Gernot Rohr for the problematic right-back position before the 2018 World Cup, only for him to suffer a career-threatening injury.
Odubajo had to be at his best against a Manchester United attack with Mason Greenwood, Daniel James and Jesse Lingard, and passed his audition with flying colours with the visitors scoring just once while he was on the pitch.
The former England U20 international scored arguably the pick of the goals with a brilliant long range effort that found the top corner to put Queens Park Rangers 3-1 up in the 58th minute.
Thirteen minutes after his brilliant strike, Odubajo made way for Charlie Kelman.
The versatile fullback is a seasoned campaigner in the Championship with 157 games under his belt for three different clubs Sheffield Wednesday, Hull City and Brentford.
