Femi Ilesanmi was impressive for National League club Boreham Wood as they registered a 4-0 win over Arsenal U23s in a pre-season friendly at Meadow Park on Friday night.

A defender by trade, the former Queens Park Rangers youth-teamer was one of the London-born players invited by the Nigeria Football Federation to train with the Super Eagles in March 2017, the others being Josh Maja, Ola Aina, Chuba Akpom and Eberechi Eze.

Ilesanmi was named in Boreham Wood's starting lineup, while Ovie Ejeheri, Mazeed Ogungbo and Nathan Butler-Oyedeji, who recently committed their futures to the Gunners, and Miguel Azeez started from the off.

Ilesanmi helped Boreham Wood keep a clean sheet and earn their fourth win on the bounce, providing two assists during the game.

Boreham Wood went into the break one goal to the good, Marsh headed home after a corner from Connor Smith.

Mafuta doubled the home team's lead in the 54th minute, assisted by Ilesanmi, and the Anglo-Nigerian also set up the fourth goal scored by National League club in the 81st minute.

Arsenal's Dutch-Nigerian winger Joel Ideho entered the game as a substitute at the start of the second half.
