Nigerian-born Arsenal product pictured in trial game for Manchester United U23s
Published: August 08, 2021
Manchester United U23 coach Neil Wood has been running the rule over versatile Nigerian-born defender Joseph Olowu since Wednesday, August 4 with a view to handing him a contract, allnigeriasoccer.com understands.
The Red Devils are keen to add a new center-back to their U23 roster ahead of the upcoming season and have firmed up their interest in Olowu by inviting him for a trial that will end this week.
The Anglo-Nigerian youngster participated in United U23s final friendly of this pre-season against the first team of non-league club Kidderminster Harriers on Friday which finished 2-2.

There's every indication that Olowu gave a good account of himself during the trial game as United didn't concede when he was on the pitch.
Approximately fifteen minutes after Oluwu made way for Zidane Iqbal, Kidderminster Harriers halved the deficit as Fernandez headed a dangerous cross into his own net, before Sam Austin restored parity with a beauty from 20 yards.
A product of Arsenal's Hale End Academy, Olowu was on the books of the north London club for nine years before he was released at the end of the 2020-2021 season.
