Chelsea's Super Eagles-eligible winger drawing interest from Lokomotiv Moscow
Published: August 24, 2021Faustino Anjorin could be leaving Chelsea on a temporary or permanent basis in the coming days, according to reports in the Russian press.
Eurostavka writes that the England youth international of Nigerian descent will train with Lokomotiv Moscow with a view to possibly signing a contract with the Russian Premier League club.
Anjorin is scheduled to arrive in the Russian capital on Thursday, August 26.
The winger and attacking midfielder is on the radar of several unnamed English and foreign clubs less than eight days before the transfer window shuts in the major European Leagues.
The signing of Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan this month has knocked the Anglo-Nigerian further down the pecking order of attack-minded players at Stamford Bridge.
The 19-year-old is competing with the Belgium star, Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz for one of the spots in the starting line-up.
Anjorin is under contract with Chelsea until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
